Hi, I’m Carolyn and I’m 16 from Dalton, Georgia. I’ll be blogging abroad this year from Holland, where I’ll be studying at a local high school, living with a host family, and traveling to different places around the country. About Me: I play tennis for the varsity tennis team as #2 doubles. I have two brothers and one sister.

Why did you pick your host country?
It appeared to me to be a very culturally rich country that I would enjoy living in for a year.
What made you want to study abroad?
I wanted to study abroad because it provided the opportunity to experience something I hadn’t ever before.
What will you miss most while you are abroad?
I will most likely miss my friends and family.
What are your personal goals for your time abroad?
Some of my goals include: learning the Dutch language fluently, to experience the Dutch culture, and to ultimately become a more independent young adult.
